The most important thing about me for the purposes of this journal is that I am a Pagan. I have been on this path for about 7 years now, really struggling and doubting myself all along the way. I self-initiated long ago but later was initiated in a dream by the Grandmothers. Since the dream initiation I have been making some real progress and started gaining some confidence in myself. I have actually started to feel like I am not "faking it" as a Witch. I am getting grounded in the basics of magical practice at long last. I have also been reading that wonderful book; Elements of Ritual. That is an amazing book and it has helped me enormously in understanding the why of each part of ritual.

I have made this new LJ because I now know who my goddess actually is. She is Hecate. This is pretty heavy news for me and I am struggling to get my mind around it. My heart is already there so I think I will adjust. I need a separate place to write about my religion and my dreams etc. My regular LJ is read by friends and family who might not understand or might be overwhelmed by what I need to write. "Privating" specific entries isn't enough. What I need to say here is very important and I would like to keep it all together.
